Home-style Ginger Ale
Simple Ginger Syrup:
1 cup natural/raw/organic sugar
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup minced ginger
Place all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil, whisking constantly. Simmer for three minutes, remove from heat, and strain into a heat-safe jar or container. Discard the ginger. Chill the syrup.
Add 2 – 4 tbsp of this syrup into a tall cold glass of sparkling mineral water or low-sodium club soda. Stir, and serve.
