Sesame Salad with Tarragon Dressing
2 heads of butter lettuce, washed and torn into bite-sized pieces
1/4 cup toasted sesame seeds
1/4 cup sliced water chestnuts
1/4 cup Almonsen Sprinkle
Tarragon Dressing (see below)
Toss all ingredients together with just enough dressing to coat all. Serve immediately.
Tarragon Dressing
2/3 cup extra virgin olive or flax seed oil
1/3 cup lemon juice or red wine vinegar
1 1/2 tsp dried tarragon
1 tsp maple syrup or brown rice syrup
1 clove minced garlic
Place all ingredients in a jar with a tight-fitting lid and shake well to combine. Refrigerate unused portions.
Serves 4-6
